How to fix it?beauty.jpg

You should start with buying warm and comfortable gloves and choosing appropriate hand cream. You can also make it yourself, in the comfort of your own home. It is only important that it has strong moisturising properties and successfully protects hands from frost, dry air and humidity.

Why hands need protection?

Hand care is complicated due to the specific anatomy of this part of skin. Natural protective coating is very delicate and easy to wash off. It disappears after almost every hand wash. Therefore, it is very important to apply hand cream. Hand skin comprise very limited number of sebaceous glands. Rebuilding this protective coating on hands can take even up to several hours.

During the day, you would have to completely avoid contact with water. Unfortunately, it seems rather impossible, especially in winter, when humidity outside is omnipresent. It also harms our hands, because on the other hand, they have much more sweat glands. Therefore, hands often have the tendency to sweat, but most importantly, loose water in no time. The skin of our hands dehydrates very easily, which is why often use of creams is highly recommended.

Which hand cream to choose?

Surely, many of you often wonder how to take proper care of hands during winter. Hands that lack the protective layer are often very dry, red, rough and chapped. Nails have the tendency to break, cuticles are peeling, hands have coarse structure. The ideal hand cream in such situation should:

  • limit the evaporation of water from the epidermis;
  • replenish valuable vitamins;
  • protect against heat loss.

During winter, the best will be thick, rich formulas creams. Even though they are more difficult to rub onto the skin because they are not absorbed so quickly, they adhere to the skin much stronger and for longer. It is worth using them as often as possible, especially with the content of silicones and glycerine. Those components provide hands with the best protection against frost, humidity and wind.

Do you know….that for your hands, you can use moisturising body and face creams as well? They have thicker consistency, their formula is enriched with various ingredients essential for proper care.
